Originally from India, there are a total of 4 Vedas. These 4 Vedas are Sanskrit texts of knowledge. They are Rk Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda. From these 4 Vedas, all of the Vedic Literature comes about, which include 9 of the Ayurvedic texts, 6 books of Indian philosophy, and historical texts, such as the Bhagavad-Gita and Ramayana.

The Vedic tradition has much to offer to today’s time. It is from the knowledge of the Veda and Vedic Literature that brings us Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda. Ayu means life and Veda means knowledge and thus Ayurveda is the total knowledge of life. Ayurvedic Medicine is a natural, preventive approach to healing. It is very effective in prevention and is also great at healing because as many other holistic approaches, Ayurveda treats the illness from the root cause.

From the Vedic perspective, I will bring to you the modern day practicality of this ancient knowledge. The main focus of this site will be on health. Health is the key to life. With great health, you can live a long life without disease. With great health, wealth and bliss are both within reach. Great health gives you the energy, motivation, and creative resources to tap into yourself to live all of your dreams. This may sound far-fetched, but in reality, the truth is that as long as you are healthy, no sickness will ever get in the way of your success because you will always have the potential to do what it takes to get things done.

Being healthy is simple because prevention is always easier and better than cure. The solution to most health related problems is often more simpler than we think. The human body is very intelligent and in the Vedic approach to health, we use the body’s own inner intelligence to bring about balance and perfect health.

My freshmen year in high school, my geometry teacher always said, “destiny begins with choices made today.” This has become my motto in life. Each day we make decisions and we only have today to create a healthier tomorrow. I believe that everyone can live a healthy life free from any kind of illness and I also believe that if illness does arise, you can heal with natural remedies alone. My approach to healing and living a healthy life is through Ayurveda, Yoga, and nutrition.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said, “Whatever we put our attention on will grow stronger in our life.” No matter what, always put your energy on the positive aspects and always direct your energy towards a healthy living. Strive to always smile and be happy!

I am a graduate of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, IA. There, I have studied Physiology, Health and Ayurveda. I am a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga teacher in Classical Hatha Yoga. Currently, I work as a Health Educator and Yoga Teacher. I am also working on my Master’s in Holistic Health Education with emphasis in Nutrition.

About Think Vedic:

Think Vedic started off as a blog to promote the principles of Ayurveda and health. Today, Think Vedic has expanded to include principles and knowledge of modern health and nutrition. The mission of Think Vedic is to promote health and prevent disease through Ayurveda, nutrition, health education, spirituality, wellness programs, workshops, and Yoga. Think Vedic is the simple way to approach your health and health-care. Always keep in mind that your health in your hands. You have my support and motivation so that you can be empowered to take your life and health into your hands.

My five core values are happiness, simplicity, practicality, sincerity, and healing!

“I shall pass this way but once. Therefore any good that I can do, Or any kindness that I can show, Let me do it now. For I shall not pass this way again”
