Ah...the classic! No doubt, chocolate is considered to be sweet. Chocolate, as in the candy, is definitely sweet. However, with all of the chemicals and processing it goes through, there is no real nutrition left in it. Milk chocolate is worse than dark chocolate. Dark chocolate has a higher content of real cocoa beans, which makes it slightly healthier. Now of course, we also know that dark chocolate and cocoa beans are bitter by taste. Cocoa and especially chocolate are high in caffeine. Therefore, even though chocolate is sweet, it is not recommended to end your meal with chocolate.

That is true...most people who are on a diet, will not touch dessert, but they will end up eating more. I will follow up with another post on stimulating digestion and the amount of food one should intake, whether or not you are on a diet.

You forgot the most important reason for eating dessert...your brain runs on 98% glucose! So eat up that sugar!!! hahahhahahahaa. But anyway great post! This is very enlightening, because most people who are on a diet will not touch dessert, but then they go and eat more.

Keep writing and keep us updated! :)

I totally agree with your point of view, however, do you have any reservations against eating something sweet before the main meal? I've heard rumors that eating something sweet stimulates the digestive process, assuming one does not eat too much or wait to long for the main meal. Chocolate Silk Pie all the way!
